Since the 1980's, the Oregon Dept. of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has issued the Suction Dredge Mining Permit (700J and 700PM series) in part under State law, and in part through agreement with the U.S. EPA as a "National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System" (NPDES) permit under Section 402 of the Clean Water Act (CWA).

The current general graywater permit is valid until May 1, 2027. If you wish to continue permit coverage beyond May 1, 2027 DEQ must receive a permit renewal application form by March 2, 2027. If DEQ receives a complete renewal application on time, the permit will remain current until DEQ issues a new permit.
