Feb 12, 2011· I may need to do some grinding on a concrete floor to take down a couple of high spots. I looked at a 4 1/2" Makita variable speed angle grinder and a diamond cup wheel for it. I have an old Ryobi angle grinder but wondering if variable speed would be good to control the grinding and the dust collection. The Makita has a bit more power too.
